Detroit diesel 4-71N engine and Spicer
5853 5-speed overdrive synchromesh transmission. BOTH are
LOW MILES from new. Engine is 4 valve head version and is
sold with all accessories including starter, alternator, air compressor
emergency shut down flap, muffler, and complete shop manual. Also
have Spicer 4853 transmission factory re manufactured, never used,
with new pressure plate and clutch.

This is a COUNTER ROTATION engine. A Backward running engine,
Or to be technical, it rotates clockwise as viewed from the flywheel
end. This engine will propel ALL 45 degree angle drive coaches.
Unit can be modified to run in opposite direction with the replacement of the two camshafts.

design and features 95mm injectors
This unit is a "drop in ready engine" requiring only mount attachment, transmission connection, exhaust hookup, fuel, coolant, and crankcase oil.

GMC 401 V-6 taken it out of my 55 Visicoach a couple of years ago to install a Diesel. It has probably less than 5,000 miles on a complete overhaul and only needs a good carburetor and the accessories. It also includes the clutch and pressure plate. Delivery is available at an additional charge. Should be a good engine for a Flx.
